First time poster, many time commenter!

Hi everybody!

I finally decided to join the world of bloggers. I'm thinking about what content you will see from me. I guess I should tell you, I like many different things. In no particular order: quilting(intermediate), knitting(beginner), cooking/baking, home improvement, fitness and working out, dog agility, photography, travel, quirky things, sometimes foodie, scrapbooker and card maker. That's what I remember for now!

I picked the name, nine-patches, because first and foremost, I will write about quilting. I love deconstructing the fabric, piecing it back together and making awesome designs from it. I am pretty traditional but I am moving towards more modern quilting. I hope you like what you see. My first quilt was made at the age of 13, having picked fuchsia and purple as my colours, I made a nine patch block with sashing, building to a double sized bed quilt. I even hand quilted it with my mom. I no longer have the blanket but it started me on this obsession.
